Craft On: Sugar Cookie Tacos
Cookies that look like tacos?! Yes, that is what's going on here. The San Diegan in me is a huge fan of these, and hopefully you will be too. Whether you're having some friends over for Cinco de Mayo or just having a fiesta-themed party, these are the perfect sweet treat to add to your party table. And they are super easy to make...seriously...watch the video for proof! Sugar cookie dough
Plastic Bags
Candy: Brownie Bites, M&Ms, Shredded Coconut
Food Coloring: Yellow + Green
Buttercream Frosting
Rolling pin
Directions:Step #1: Prepare the toppings for your tacos. Take 2 plastic bags and add 1 cup of shredded coconut to each bag. In one bag, add 2-3 drops of yellow food coloring (the cheese) and in the other bag, add 2-3 drops of green food coloring (the lettuce). Shake each bag to evenly coat the coconut with color. Next, crumble brownie bites into pieces (the meat) and lastly pick out the red m&ms (the tomatoes).Step #2: Place dough in rounds on a baking sheet.Step #3: Bake sugar cookie dough at 350 degrees until lightly brown.Step #4: Remove and let sit for 1-2 minutes and then immediately mold each cookie over a rolling pin (or any wax-covered tubular shape).Step #5: Let cookie shells completely cool on mold, then decorate!Step #6: To decorate: add buttercream frosting (sour cream), coconut lettuce + cheese, brownie meat, and the chocolate tomatoes.
