While on the topic of yesterday's ice cream post, I thought it'd be a good time to post these photos of a giant peach cake I made.  Because what goes with some vanilla ice cream?!  A delicious summer peach of course!  I loved getting to work on this delectable slice of fruit for a peach-loving birthday girl.  And a little peach of advice for all you beginning bakers out there - don't ever feel too dedicated to the theme of your cake in a literal sense.  While it sure did look like a peach slice, it was actually just a delicious chocolate cake with buttercream frosting.
