DIY: Ice Cream Party Backdrop
Even though it's not that warm yet in New York, my mind has been dreaming of summer. I plan on hosting a little ice cream party once it gets warm, as I've recently found some amazing vintage ice cream bowls and have a few handmade ice cream-themed decor items in mind. Maybe that isn't enough of a reason to throw an ice cream-themed party, but I am willing to take the risk and just go for it. Plus, I am totally obsessed with ice cream and find it completely worthy of its own celebration. While brainstorming for the party, I thought of this idea for a backdrop and thought it would be perfect for either the dessert table backdrop or the photobooth.Below you'll find the materials needed with step-by-step directions for the ice cream cone backdrop.
The streamers look adorable as is, and would even be cute on their own as a backdrop. But for the added cuteness of the ice cream cones, continue on!
F or that last step, I took a piece of white string and tied it to the wire knot at the top of the honeycomb. I used a push pin to secure the other end of the string into the ceiling. I randomized the lengths of my pieces of string to get somewhat of an arch formation, but didn't want it to look too uniform.
Even though this backdrop screams ice cream, I think it's an ideal backdrop for any summer party, shower, or birthday.
